That black love, that use to be sweet
January 27, 2014 at 2:08pm
We had that black love,
Tha didn't kill for power
Untill our anger grew dark
So we lost our balance
When we forgot, how to love
And to establish equal rights
They want power
For da Universe mobilization
Of our people
Not communicating with
Each other correctly
Left our hearts at war
So u kill for blood
Thinking its Justice
But yet it leaves u in a chamber
When u sold, your own brother & sister in to slavery
These black on black hate crimes
Leaves us shattered
With no one rising up
To love on thes injured brothas &sistas
Who think gang banging
Is da new transformation for opportunity
So I say where is da black love
That use to be sweet
It doesn't have to be sexual
when dealing with an ignorant person
Don't let love turn back into shame
For not doing nothing
To wash da hate off da streets
Expressing that black love
To them, will inspire them,
To recycle that hateful love
Da non violence
Is always better
Than a gun of unforgiveness
So I say, where is da black love
That use to be sweet
Lets be that race
That doesn't act like savages
Black men & black women
Stop going on t.v. shows
Like jerry springer, steve wilcos,
The maury, & divorce court shows
Embarrassing yourselves
It won't solve your issues
Until u both stop
Persecuting each other
You black men
Can't be faithful
If u have more than 1 woman
As your so called lover
So black women stop
Abusing your rights
With that capitalistic pussy
Just to get revenge
So I say, where is da black love
That use to be sweet
It was sweet like caramel
Mixed with vanilla, herseys
And chocolate fudge
When a black man
Had so much love
For a black woman
And a black woman
Had so much admiration
For a black man
Who took on da responsibility
To be a man who leads
Not run cause
Of his own insecurities
Gotta get back to
Having a righteous household
And teaching our kids about Jesus
Not giving up on them
& letting become demons
Who serve da devil
It is our job to spread da love &prayer
Versus watch our people retact
Without thinking & then self destruct
So I say, where is da black love
That use to be sweet
It was romantic
When da black women
Put all their love
Into cooking that good food
And making themselves
As that erotic desert
To put it on u so good
That u wouldn't, have no weakness
For no side orders
So I say, where is da black love
That use to be sweet
Black men stop complaining
About her craziness
And be that man
Who cleans her scars, to inspire her
To forgive, so she can recycle these wounds
That kept her in a prison of pain
Express to that black woman of yours
She doesn't need a weave to be beautiful
You don't nee fake breat &ass
For that black man
To tell u, you are beautiful
That black man took da time
To reveal your unfading beauty
To make love, to your unfading beauty
To say black queens
Don't go to waste
We as black kings
Have learned from our mistakes
So I say, where is da black love
that use to be sweet
Tha didn't kill for power
Untill our anger grew dark
So we lost our balance
